COLAGE Welcomes New Program Director and Communications Coordinator Feb 4 10
This year, COLAGE celebrates 20 years as the only national youth-driven network of people with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer parents. Over the past two decades, thousands of people with LGBTQ parents have become strong advocates for ourselves and our families, realizing that our difference is our strength.
As we prepare for the next 20 years, COLAGE is thrilled to welcome new staff members Carlos Uribe, National Program Director, and Mark Snyder, Communications Coordinator.
With our new staff and expanded capacity, COLAGE looks forward to strengthening our community, leadership, and advocacy work, to help children of LGBTQ families get the recognition, respect, and rights that every family deserves.
Please join us in giving Mark and Carlos a warm welcome to the COLAGE community!
Carlos Uribe, National Program Director
Carlos comes to COLAGE with nearly a decade of experience in organizing and work with youth and low income communities of color. Before joining COLAGE staff, Carlos worked at ACORN, leading the struggle for tenant's rights, neighborhood and citywide services, equitable urban development, safe schools, quality education, violence prevention and affordable housing.
Carlos is eager to move into the LGBTQ movement and explore his own identity as a COLAGEr. His responsibilities include cultivating COLAGE chapter leadership and ensuring the voices of COLAGErs are represented in the media and public policy debates.
