		<description><![CDATA[I agree that the film has the potential to support certain stereotypes. And it would be nice to see a mainstream film that tells my story. Although I think it would be terribly boring for mainstream America. 

But as a film buff myself, I have to look at the piece from an artistic point of view as well. The fact is that every character in the film, the scenarios, and even the general theme could (and probably does) exist in the real world. But that&#039;s not even the point. It&#039;s a film. A work of Art. And Cholodenko told that particular story, particularly well. I didn&#039;t think for a moment that the film was meant to represent every family with 2 Moms. It was meant to tell that family&#039;s story...good, bad, and ugly. What I took away from the film? Despite my flaws (and there are many), the kids will be (or at least can be) all right.]]></description>
