Resources for Questioning COLAGErs

INTRODUCTION

wes deb aaronComing out as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or questioning is a big step. Every person needs to go at their own pace, through their own process as they develop their sexual orientation and gender identity. Having a lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender parent can be either helpful and/or challenging for youth who are coming out themselves.

The resources in this section are for questioning youth to find resources, support, and make connections. We also hope you will join 2nd Gen- COLAGE’s own group for those of us queers who also have LGBT parents. We understand the complexity of issues that you might be facing as a 2nd Gen’r.

WHAT IS 2ND GEN?

rally2nd Generation is a term coined to describe lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning folks of all ages who have LGBT parents. This resource lists includes both academic and news articles, books, documentaries, and cultural references of 2nd Gen people and issues. For more information about 2nd Gen visit the website.
