COLAGE proudly offers skill building and leadership development trainings for youth with LGBT parents during many of our national and regional events. For the past few years, the Speak OUT Day during Provincetown Family Week has been an activism academy for teens to engage in social justice, advocacy and learn more about the issues that concern us. Through hands-on activities and trainings, Speak OUT trainings provide COLAGErs with the tolls to recognize oppression in all its forms, make connections between diverse social justice issues, develop their leadership skills, and become equipped to participate in political activism.

Other national events include activism and skill-building workshops giving youth with LGBT parents an opportunity to learn about current laws, court cases, and legislation affecting their lives, to engage in activism to speak out on these issues, to grow their public speaking, leadership and lobbying skills and much more.
