So you're an LGBTQ parent? Or thinking about becoming one? Although COLAGE is run by and for your children, that doesn't mean we can't help you, and that you can't help us. In fact, it's through the generosity and involvement of many parents like yourself that COLAGE is able to thrive as an active and visible voice for children of LGBTQ parents. We don't just mean money (though contributing financially is one important way to help), but also through volunteering, spreading the word, advocating for our families in the political, social and legal arenas, and listening to the voices and perspectives of youth and adults with LGBTQ parents in order to be the best ally to COLAGErs that you can be.

Many of you are on the cutting edge of changing perceptions about gay people, family, love and gender-roles. Many of your kids are, too. Unfortunately, being on the cutting edge often means facing custody battles, negative attitudes, prying neighbors, rejecting parents, vicious politicians and out-moded laws. You are such an important ally to COLAGE and to children, youth and adults with LGBTQ parents, we would be remiss if we didn't offer you an opportunity to get involved with us and links to many other useful and wonderful resources.
