COLAGE and Our Family Coalition partner on YUP!

The Youth Unity Project (YUP) exists to empower and connect middle and high school youth who live in the Bay Area and have one or more lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and or queer parent/guardian(s).

Facilitated by COLAGE’s Program Director, Robin Marquis, and Family Coalition’s Family Programs Coordinator, Shareena Clark, we are creating a youth lead space that allows for self empowerment through connection, action and fun!

Our programming consists of attending cultural events, outdoor adventures, social justice based workshops, and exploration of identity. There will be opportunities for the youth to volunteer and create projects that impact their community and provide self awareness opportunities through involvement.

In the last few months, we have gone on a camping trip in the Presidio, a bike ride in Golden Gate park and attended the International Hip Hop Festival. All events are on a sliding scale and no one is turned away for lack of funds.

For upcoming events and more information, please email our co-facilitators Robin at robin@colage.org or Shareena at shareena@ourfamily.org.

Thank you to our partner Our Family Coalition!
