Join COLAGE's newest staff member Meg York (she/her), Chief Legal and Policy Officer, for an engaging introduction to the policy workshop shaping the lives of people with LGBTQ+ parents and caregivers. Meg will share about her legal background, family development and personal interests. Meg feels strongly about the importance of centering COLAGErs’ lived experience in policy advocacy work. Meg will also highlight real-time examples from the 2026 legislative session, showing how COLAGE is advancing protections for LGBTQ+ families including securing and protecting parent-child relationships (including by defending marriage equality), improving and safeguarding access to family building, and supporting inclusive schools.
Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of today’s policy landscape and why centering the voices of people with LGBTQ+ parents is critical to building a more just, equitable, and inclusive future.
